The Midwest Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC) training, led by Instructor Brian Karman, provides law enforcement professionals with a comprehensive overview of intelligence-driven resources and modern investigative tools.

Morning Session:
Participants are introduced to MOCIC’s core services and capabilities, including:

  • Information sharing systems and resources 
  • Investigative support services 
  • Intelligence research and analytical products 
  • Equipment loan programs 
  • Digital forensics, including audio and video enhancement 
  • Deconfliction processes to improve officer safety and coordination 

This session emphasizes how agencies can leverage MOCIC to enhance investigations, streamline intelligence gathering, and improve interagency collaboration.

Afternoon Session:
The training transitions into advanced topics focused on:

  • Cryptocurrency fundamentals and investigative considerations 
  • Dark web navigation and its role in criminal activity 
  • Practical insights into identifying and investigating illicit online operations 

By the end of the course, attendees will gain actionable knowledge on both traditional intelligence resources and emerging digital threats, equipping them to better support modern investigations.
